They will not do anything else until they get to touch base with that teleporter.Įdited several times because apparently the word "elevator" is synonymous with "teleporter" in some strange corner of my brain. All commands start with a / (forward slash). It's worst if they don't have a clear path to the teleporter itself (as may happen during construction), they just make a sad, twitching cluster of people panicking and quickly pacing about on a floor below it. Unlike other games, Starbound doesnt have a console to type commands into - all you have to do is type them into chat. They just seem to prioritize hanging out by the teleporter sometimes. For a time, I blocked that room with buttons they couldn't reach, but that messed up their behavior, too, so I finally just opened it up again. Meanwhile the easier-to-access medbay beds go utterly unused, and my captain's quarters bed is always used. Every bed is accessible, and may be chosen by the few who use them. Back when the crew quarters were the only non-teleporter activity available, they'd fill every bed, but now only a few will go. During the day they'll do other stuff, but nighttime is a cluster around the teleporter. At night, maybe 1-2 of my guys will go sleep in the crew quarters, but the rest will hover around the teleporter. But sometimes it will happen even when they do. Usually this happens if they don't have a clear path to other things on the ship.

Click to expand. They definitely like to hump the teleporter on the Apex ship, too.
